Baby Its Cold Outside!

A chill is in the air and we know old man winter is about to cast his spell. Or perhaps where you are, he already has. Many of you wonder how you are going to get through this winter season because those coats are already getting hard to do up. Believe it or not, there are some pretty spectacular options for winter coats while pregnant. We have a little something for everyone from dressy to casual and from rainy, milder winters, right on into full blown -20 winters.

For our more mild climates you can get away with the wool swing type similar to these by Seraphine Maternity. (and lets be honest if they are good enough for Gwen Stefani they are good enough for us! )There is also a super clever style by MCoat, called the MShell that can be worn pregnant, with baby in a carrier and then as a regular coat as well. It is fleece lined with a water resistant exterior for those rainy winters as well. Then there are the longer wool options as well that are great for more mild winters.

As for you mamas who need a FULL blow winter coat that will protect you from the snowy and blistery days where temperatures drop well below freezing there are 2 FAVES of ours. The Canadian made MCoat that is a 600+ down coat will keep you beyond warm in the winter months. New to the line up this winter is Modern Eternity. It shares a similar concept to the “go to” MCoat, however it is a little more chic with its real fur trim as well as its gabardine fabric. They have also added cuffs in the sleeves to keep the drafts out, and a drawstring at the bottom to make the fit a little more flattering. Its down/feather content will still keep you toasty in the chilly climates.

There is definitely value in buying a coat that can be worn during pregnancy, with baby and then as a regular coat. However, a couple of the swing wool styles also look great with no bump as well! The good news is at least there are options finally!

Until next time….

Stay warm mamas!
